Overview
HVAC and electrical renovation for a museum wing housing loan-grade collections.
The brief
Lending institutions required tight, continuously logged temperature and humidity, but the historic wing's old systems drifted far outside conservation tolerances.
Our engineering approach
We designed a dedicated conservation-grade air system with tight humidity control and continuous monitoring, plus discreet electrical and lighting that met loan and preservation standards without disturbing the architecture.
The outcome
The wing held temperature within +/-1 degree and humidity within +/-3% around the clock, unlocking loans the museum had previously been refused.
